Training

installercourse400 opt

We make our systems as durable and long-lasting as possible, but when all is said and done, the quality of the installation determines how the system will perform.

aquatherm NZ Ltd introduced polypropylene welding certification to NZ.  aquatherm runs a certified installers training course which is also registered with the Plumbing Industry CBD points for upskilling (10 technical points).

aquatherm supports training and upskilling courses for trades people in socket welding, electrofusion, butt welding for plumbing, HVAC, fire, hydronic heating and general pipe fitting application in the installation of aquatherm pipe systems.

The training course is a 3 hour session that involves theoretical, practical tuition and all aspects of installation, testing, storage and safety are detailed during the course. Participants receive a certification of attendance and a registered installer's card and number valid for a period of three years. This number is then documented on the test certificate and used as a reference to validate our comprehensive warranty.

aquatherm also offers support to engineers and designers in general installation inquiries in the suitability and application of aquatherm systems.

Training courses are held at our head office training centre at 36 Rockridge Road, Penrose, Auckland and as well throughout New Zealand on a regular basis.

Specialised Training through MIT

Jimmy MIT 1_opt

Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT), in conjunction with aquatherm NZ Ltd, are providing specialist training for all its apprentices and students over varying stages of their educational pathways.

MIT and aquatherm are committed to the ongoing technical education and best practice for industry students in PPR socket welding.

Pictured above is Darius Toginga receiving his MIT certificate in fusion socket welding, from Senior Lecturer Jim Roskvist.  Darius has now completed stage 1 of the Aquatherm programme, installation. When he enters stage 2 of his apprenticeship training he will then be instructed in installation designs for DN 16mm to 63mm pipe and fittings, then in stage 3 larger diameter pipelines.

Aquatherm and MIT acknowledge that in order for quality installations, quality training also needs to be undertaken, not only from grass roots level but all the way up to hydraulic designers who specify the product.

Just the Job is a TV series about young people finding out about jobs through first hand experience.

Every week three different students try out jobs they are interested in. A mentor is on hand to provide information about the pros and cons of the job and in this episode the mentor is Tim Browne, Manager of David Browne Contractors, Christchurch.

The video gives you an insight into what is involved in the industry.  Featured in the video are some great shots of some recent aquatherm installations....Botanical Gardens and Selwyn Pools.
