Summerset Retirement Village, Hamilton

A new Village Centre is also being built at the Summerset Retirement Village in Hamilton with the first module to be completed in November 2013. The Village Centre will house a cafe, hair salon, exercise room, library along with many other resident amenities. Ten new care apartments will also be available within the Village Centre from 2014.

This project has just been piped out in aquatherm green (fusiotherm) pipe with up to 63mm faser pipe being used in the hot water ring main.

Kane from Plumbing Works, Tauranga managed this job and made sure the clamping was installed correctly and with settings to allow for expansion. Expansion loops were used in places where natural movement was difficult to achieve. The cold water supply included sizes up to 90mm and the big bench welder was used for the larger diameter pipes and for prefabbing long runs.
